Hi all,
I've written a generic letter to my consultant requesting supporting info for my DLA & IB renewals which came together, and I'll include the health professionals' sheet for him.
However, as it's two separate claims with different evidence needed, should I ask him to write a different letter for each claim, or just provide two copies of one letter containing the info to support both claims? I don't want to ask him to do two different letters if I can help it as he's busy enough, but if the DWP will dismiss one 'generic' letter, it's important to know.
Also, does anyone have any suggestions on what wording he can use? He's very supportive but like all doctors he's had no real training in DWP-speak, so he'd be open to suggestions of how to word the letter for maximum effect.
I have severe (in DWP terms) ME with associated muscle wasting if it's of any help.
Thanks!
EDIT: I'm not asking for a letter specific to me, just a couple of general DWP-speak acceptable phrases that can be adapted to correctly fit my condition.
