I just wanted to post to let people know that DWP arnt all bad as i found out this week. I have been claiming DLA for last 5 years for mental health problems. I had an indefinate award. In the 5 years i have had 2 medicals with no change to award each time. Due to the continual publication of people being taken to court for fruad on dla i decided to stop my claim even though my condition hadnt changed as it was making my health worse worrying that i was being spied on. I received a phone call from DWP last week saying they were looking at my request to stop my DLA and he said after reading the 2 medical reports they had done, speaking to my doctor and consultant they were NOT going to stop it as it is obvious i still need it(they even awarded me more than original)and i wasnt to listen to the reports as they know im genuine. I say i was shocked was an understatement but i feel better about it now as he obviously put alot of effort into looking behind my request to see if it was the best thing. I thought that they would just stop it as i asked.
Wow how about that. I just totally amazed. So dont lose the faith some of them are human.
