Does anyone please know if there is a medical or legal definition of a degenerative condition? I have searched around but have had no joy. This is pretty pivotal to a lot of entitlements as lots of things I am wanting to apply for, not so much benefits but add-ons like bus and train travel exemptions, VAT exemptions on vehicles and adaptations, are granted to people with 'degenerative conditions' who need aids part time. Is it any condition which gets progressively worse without hope of getting better, or is there something specific that it has to "do" to you to qualify? At present I don't qualify for things if I use a wheelchair *some* of the time unless I am classified as having a "degenerative condition" but no definition is given.

Thanks, knowledgeable ones!
