hi all, just saying hi and what a very imformative site this is! Shame i didnt find it earlier!! I applied for dla last year and got refused, so i thought no more of it!! well last month i was awarded a blue badge and was wondering if i can apply for dla again, and will they still have my notes from last year?
hopefully now with this sites help i may be able to get something! my condition has got worse and thats why i was awared the blue badge last month!! Any help will be grateful!!

Hi Dan,

Yes you definitely can apply for DLA again. In effect, when your claim was refused it was extinguished and it is as if it had never been.

It's very unlikely that the DWP will use your previous application when looking at a new one and, if thye did, the fact that your condition has worsened since means that you could certainly challenge any reliance on what would be entirely out-of-date evidence.

Do follow the guides to make the most detailed and accurate application you can and let us know how you get on.

well using the guides here i did submit my new application and today recieved a letter saying that they have to contact the doctor and am under review!! lets hope i hear some positive news soon!!!

well still waiting to hear anything!! how long does this normally take?
i got a letter saying they are still unable to give me a desision as of yet!!

I think it usually takes a few months as they have to contact your GP and consultants. (if you see anyone)

Hi all just an update!! Well this moring i recieved a letter from DWP granting me the higher mobility rate! i would like to thank all on this site for the help and info that helped me a great deal!! as its nearing xmas cant wait for the back pay!! LOL.
Once again a big thanks to you all!!
