Thanks Pete,

These will be useful for moderators and for those who have to claim ESA instead of IB as from 27 October 2008.

Thanks for your e-mail also

Jim

Taken from a factsheet:-

"Timings

When will the changes happen?
The changes will be introduced initially from 27 October 2008 for ESA customers only. As announced in the Budget on 12 March 2008, to ensure this increased work focus benefits current as well as future customers, from April 2010 all IB customers who started their claim before October 2008 will be required to take the WCA."

Will this mean that under 25's are not being migrated in 2009?

Hi,

Well according to this factsheet page 2, the under 25's are still expected to migrate onto ESA in 2009.

Having trawled through various bits of this, I can't help wondering what would happen at a WFI if you were physically incapable of carrying out any course of action put forward in an Action Plan by the Personal Adviser? Does anyone know if sanctions would be applied?
Also, does this come under 'ESA Disqualification for Misconduct' as apparently those who get DLA Middle or Higher Care Component cannot be disqualified for misconduct? Any insights and thoughts welcome.
Cheers, Pen.
