Has anyone ever been asked to attend an interview at their local job centre to discuss their Incapacity Benefit, in the early hours of the morning?
I post this question as I have just heard of someone who has been sent a letter asking them to attend their Job Centre at 2am to discuss their claim. I have asked for a copy of this letter to post on my website. Yes there are details of how to get to the Job Centre using a Night bus. The letter is from Medical Services.
This person is actually exempt from such review of IB as they receive HR Care/Mobility DLA but I wanted to know if such appointments were now commonplace.

Hi John,
Sorry for the late reply, but I'm away from home at present.
To be asked to attend their local JCP at 2.00 am is ludicrous. Personally, I think it's a clerical error and that it should be 2.00 pm, since to the best of my knowledge civil servants ( including JCP staff) only work normal office hours for routine work.
In any event an interview should be offered to claimants at a date and time convenient to the claimant.
