TOPIC: Ive WON (again)

Ive WON (again) 2 years 1 week ago #57427

Would just like to share with you all that I have won my appeal for Incapacity Benefit.
I suffer from bowel complications and incontinence,I had my PCA in April last year,my I/B was stopped in July.As I have been through the tribunal system twice before(and won)I appealed again.
As the benefit system is all changing I decided to join your site for information and tips.It is an excellent site and I am really glad I joined.I did all you suggested, making notes, doctors letters, but made myself even worse with the stress of it all.
Well I have just got back from my hearing and need not have worried,I was in a total of 4 mins. The two gentleman on the panel said they had read my case notes, asked me to confirm that the condition had not changed, then said they were awarding the points back. The desision notice was already typed out and waiting for me to take with me.
I cannot believe the outcome and the euphoria I now feel.
Just goes to show that ATOS do get it wrong, and if you appeal you stand a better chance of having benefits reinstated.
I hope this gives other people who are waiting for appeals some hope of success.
Good Luck to All

Well done - so pleased for you - I also won on appeal and wouldn't hesitate to take that route again despite the stress.

Well done Jaycee.

But this DWP approach is a just like a game of poker, and sadly the cards are stacked all the time in their favour.
If only it was not a gamble and in black and white and maybe everybody would knopw what to expect.
sadly its not.
Good luck to us all.
