TOPIC: Am I ok to wait?

Am I ok to wait? 11 months 3 weeks ago #86939

Hi

I know from good advice on this forum that DWP are not necessarily sending ESA forms out to current IB claimants when their reassessment is due, because of backlogs.
Mine’s due (DWP said may 2012 when I asked them on the phone last year, as my letter had no date.
I am waiting, but rather than the wait being a tense time, it gives me time to prepare.
Am I ok to continue waiting, or do I have to let them know it is due.

Thanks

Sorted

There is no requirement for you to notify them about this. Your IB payments will continue until a Decision is made, when you are transferred to ESA.

Keep your head down and your mouth shut - the transfer will happen soon enough!

Thank you all so kindly.
I really appreciate the reassurance.
It has taken a bit of stress away from me.
I will sit tight and make use of the waiting period.

You can make good use of the waiting time by starting to fill-in the interactive PDF form and collecting evidence to support your claim.
