If you are unable or would find it extremely difficult to attend a medical assessment, you can ask for a domiciliary assessment. The means that the assessment can be carried out at home, but as mentioned in an earlier post you will need to have compelling evidence from your GP.
If Atos refuse your request for a domiciliary assessment despite evidence from your doctor, you will have to attend for the medical assessment, but you may have a case under the terms of section 20 - 22 of the
Equality Act 2010.
