TOPIC: esa saga continues

Hi all,
I first claimed esa assess August last year had medical nil points and now appealing..
I have been waiting for my appeal since Jan I rang today tribunal to be told in my area it will be at least another 18weeks before my tribunal :O
This takes it from beginning to end 15 months surely there must be something wrong with this senile cost accumulating process..If its backlogs why dont they take more peeps on get the people who can work a way of doing so.Who do I go to next have been to my MP and he is appalled and awaiting a reply himself from dwp..
Im at a loss I cant stay like this another 18weeks its making me ill upstairs :(

Unfortunately there is not much you can do;

You can accept a short notice appeal, but you should only do this if all of your evidence has been submitted to the Tribunal Service.

You can request an earlier appeal if you can show you are suffering hardship due to the delay.

In either case, due to the overloading of the system, you may not be granted an appeal any earlier.

Unfortunately, although the Tribunal Service has been taking on more staff, they take time to be trained, and even then the increased staffing is unlikely to meet the increased demands on the TS due to the IB/IS/SDA transfer and the time limiting of ESA(CB).
