The difference B&W makes ... 10 months 2 weeks ago #88489

Just a update and a thank you :)

Last year I was transferred from IB to ESA, I naively presumed that it would be enough to fill in the ESA50 honestly, including dates of surgeries etc and explaining how my daily life is affected by my medical problems. No .... I underwent the ATOS medical and was awarded 0 points. It was at this point that I found this site and thanks to your extensive guides and the mods help I quickly realised where I had gone wrong. I requested an appeal and started collating written evidence/supporting letters from my Drs, surgeons and Nurse specialists. I sent these to the DWP as I received them and within a matter of weeks I had a phone call to say I was in the support group. (btw.. I was told that the ATOS medical report was 'unfit for purpose')

I was expecting the ESA50 again in May/June this year and this time I was well prepared in advance .. I returned my updated supporting evidence along with the form.

I have received confirmation that I will remain in the support group ... with no medical this time. It took less than 2 weeks from returning my ESA50.

A HUGE thank you to everyone involved with this site, i've found it to be a professional and factual source of information. Keep up the good work ... you really do make a difference :)

Jill
