TOPIC: Shocked!!!

Shocked!!! 9 months 2 days ago #90688

March 2011 i put in a claim for DLA and was refused, logged an appeal which wasn't heard until a year later and won. I was awarded LR mobility & MR Care although it was obviously all back dated the award was only to run until 3rd September 2012. A couple of months ago a new form arrived giving me the chance to re apply, i did apply has my condition hadn't improved and i was also recently diagnosed with fibromyagia too.

This time i filled out the forms in great detail using help information on this site & sent almost everything i had from various consultants backing my evidence. This past few months have be full of stress, illnesses getting worst husband being made redundant, constant medication changes to control my chronic migraines (unfortuately still not under control :( ) And surgery today. So much rubbish has been thrown my way, i was expecting my DLA to be turned down & have to go all through the appeal process again adding to my stress....

So imagine my shock when i arrived home from the hospital today to find that dreaded brown envelope on the door mat... Here we go again!!!

But i was wrong, i have been awarded DLA again for another 2 years at the same rate :cheer: I real weight off my mind, i am so delighted.

Would just like to say a massive THANK YOU for all your help i really don't think i would have had a successful result if it hadn't been for the valuable help & information that you provide....xxx

Hi

I know the information i need is on here somewhere but i can't seem to find it, i'm hoping someone could kindly point e in the right direction?

Although i have been re awarded DLA for another 2 years i would like to know how they came to their decision and would like know what information they received from either my GP or consultant. How do i go about this? Is there a DLA template letter on the site at all requesting this information from the DWP?

Thank you in advance :)
