TOPIC: ESA Support Group

ESA Support Group 6 months 3 weeks ago #93689

Hi All I'm back.

Following a long fight with ATOS and the DWP, trying to convince them of the deterioration of a fluctuating condition condition I have finally been placed in the ESA Support Group.

Over the last four years on many occasions I have met the criteria for support group status the problem has always been proving it to their satisfaction.

Even though additional medical documentation was forwarded to the relevant parties in March of this year the decision to place me once more in the WRAG was taken by ATOS without the courtesy of a medical.

Having mulled over this decision for several weeks I finally asked for a reconsideration and review of existing medical evidence also including a rather sarcastic letter ( not to be recommended but I was rather peeved off ). Within four days I received a phone call from the DM Support Group no medical and thankfully no appeal.

Cheers Gordon,
apologies for not updating the situation, foolishly allowed my subscription to lapse.
Disappointed the whole process has taken so long, and annoyed additional medical evidence had been overlooked until the last reconsideration but very pleased I do not have to undergo another tribunal.
Thanks to B&W for information and advice offered in previous posts.
