Hi I sent my ESA50 back to Atos last week, but had to send supporting evidence a couple of days later.

This was posted last Thursday 1st class signed for, but as yet according to royal mail tracking it has not been delivered. Should I send it again or give it a few more days?

Can anyone say roughly how long till you hear anything after sending your form?

Hi, I see that Puccalove is going to answer your query. However, I thought I would share my experience - each time I have sent mail to DWP and tracked it, it has shown as 'processing through the system'. I phoned Royal Mail and they said that the things had been delivered but the system had not updated, they emailed me the signiture of the person who has taken delivery.

I have heard that post to Atos/DWP goes to one big sorting office and then gets shipped out to the various departments by royal mail. This explains why it takes so long for them to get their post and why it is good to send stuff recorded delivery. However it doesn't preclude them from losing it when it gets to them it just means they can't blame royal mail!

As for how long before you hear back well I am afraid it is a how long is a piece of string scenario. You can of course phone them to make sure they have recieved it.
