TOPIC: ESA Support Group

ESA Support Group 2 years 9 months ago #121843

Just a quick message to let you know that after six long months, several letters of complaint and several forms completed for the DWP and ATOS that I have been put in the Support Group of ESA and had my claim backdated to November 2013.

I would like to thank you for the help and support that you have given me during this difficult time. If it was not for the excellent guides that my husband used to complete all the forms that the DWP and ATOS had sent then I would not have been award the correct decision.

As you know from other posting that I suffer with Fibromyalgia and attend a local support group, I will be spreading the word about the excellent work that you do and that the subscriptions that I pay are the best spent money I have ever done.

Thanks once again now just waiting to hear from them about my PIP, but will be sending them a copy of the letters that I am in the SG for ESA once I get all the paperwork.

That is great news! Thanks for letting us know and for your kind words about this site :)

If you want to know when to expect reassessment, you can phone DWP and ask for the 'prognosis' and/or you can write and ask for a copy of the paperwork assiciated with your claim. This FAq is relevant whether or not you had a face2face 'medical'.

ESA medical – what forms to ask for?

We occasionally hear of people in the SG who still recieve letters asking them to attend Work Focussed Interviews/Activities. You do not have to participate in these.
