Receiving DLA whilst whilst living abroad

I have lived in Germany for the past 4 years. I was allowed to take my Incapacity Benefit ( now ESA) and DLA (Care Component) with me. I had to give up my Income Support. However, in March this year my ESA was stopped after an unsuccessful Appeal Tribunal which I attended in the UK. I am still receiving my DLA Care Component of around €270.00 per month, (approx £213.00). As I cannot survive on this amount for the whole month, I need to know if I am allowed to take a part time job in Germany, whilst still receiving my DLA. In Germany, everybody is allowed to take a "Mini Job". This involves earning up to €450.00 per month tax free. This applies to everyone, including disabled people or people receiving Arbeitslosengeld (Unemployment Benefit). I need to know that I am not breaking any UK laws before I start looking for a part time job. I am registered as 90% disabled in Germany, and although I do not receive any paid benefits, I do receive a free travel pass which enables free travel across the whole country by train or bus. Any employment that I undertake must be Behinderte Arbeit (disabled worker).
I would appreciate any advice. Thanks to all reply to this post.

As moderators we cannot deal with individual enquiries from UK residents or those living abroad.

However, DLA Care Component is paid to those with care needs, and before I retired I worked part-time whilst in receipt of DLA with no problems from DWP, and I have friends & colleagues on DLA who work both full-time & part-time.

If you read Living Abroad & Benefits it may be of help. This is a thread of posts from members living abroad.

Other moderators or members with experience of living abroad are welcome to give further advice if they can assist Jazz.

The only other comment I would make is to ensure that any work that you do is not odds with your stated limitations on your last DLA Claim form, if it is you run the risk of your DLA being re-assessed and the possibility of your being invited to claim PIP.

You are not required to inform the DWP that you are starting work but it may count against you if you do not and they decide that you work activities are not compatible with your limitations.
