15 months and still waiting - ESA was created by Benson
Sent back my forms at the end of last May 2013, still nothing from DWP or ATOS. I know I can always contact ATOS to ask, but so far have not done so. I rang the DWP though and they said they have not had anything back. I am reluctant to contact ATOS just in case my file has slipped down the back of the filling cabinet and been lost :cheer: I know, fat chance huh.

Really just wondering if I am alone here on this length of time for a simple ESA to ESA renewal ? What is the longest here on the forums, for someone who is waiting for a straightforward renewal (not IB to ESA transfer or appeal) ? I have pretty much resigned myself to the fact I will have a F2F as I must be in a queue for a medical, it is too long for a straight passing to DWP I think.

Thanks all.

We are still regularly hearing of claimants who have waited 12 months for an assessment, 15 months is at the upper end, I think we have at least one other member report a wait of 15 months, but I think they had actually got a date at that point.

A F2F is not inevitable, they probably haven't looked at your file at all yet!

Bad news for me, got the dreaded white ATOS envelope this morning for a F2F medical. I didn't need a medical for the last 2 renewals, and was in support group, so not sure what I did wrong this time in the ESA50.

Hi B,

It doesn't necessary follow that you have done anything wrong this time.

Have you made a written request for the F2F to be recorded, if not, you may wish to contact ATOS and do so.

There is a template letter entitled "Letter asking for your medical to be recorded
A 2 page letter you can copy and paste to send to DWP/Atos requesting that your medical is recorded. This letter is also included in the WCA guides above. This Word version may be easier to copy and paste."

On this page :

ESA Claims Guides

You can e-mail it to ATOS on : This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Don't forget to include your DOB, NIno, etc.

If you haven't already done so.

I know you are a long standing member, so please disregard my advice if not pertinent. :)

Just to add,

If you are to contact ATOS, you may wish to query why you have to attend a F2F this time when your limitations have not altered, and you have provided the same amount of evidence as on previous assessments.

Of course, you can't refuse to attend if they insist. (you are allowed to re-arrange once)

It could be due to the fact that the information in the ESA50 is now 15 months old.

Or, there is a possibility that your ESA50 has been "lost" or that it has not even been looked at.
