ESA REVIEW was created by Claude
It seems that my nephew with Aspergers has been asked to complete a new ESA assessment form and submit a new GP letter for his ESA WRAG review.
Luckily I have obtained a new letter from his GP
1. Would it it be sensible to re transcribe the comments I wrote from the original form 18 months ago for each descriptor?. I can add examples of what has happened in last 18 months.
All evidenced.

2. Will they keep up the ESA WRAG payments while they make their decision.?

I don't even mind if they insist placing him in the Work Programme, because it will inevitably lead to failure. He will simply not co operate with anything like a compulsory programme especially if he deems it below his intellectual or preferred interests.

Thanks for such an excellent forum and website

In principle you can use he information from his last ESA50, however, the ESA Descriptors and Regulations were updated in January 2013, so if the previous form was issued before this you should check our latest ESA guides to check whether any of the changes are relevant.

You certainly need to make sure that the information is relevant to his conditions as they are now, as anything that is clearly "old" will likely be disregarded.

His current WRAG payments will continue until a new Decision on his claim is made, current delays in the system could mean that this could take as much as a year to happen.

I am afraid I don't share your view of the Work Programme, as an failure to comply will most likely result in a sanction of your nephew's ESA, whilst this can be appealed, it may take months to resolve and there is no guarantee of success. I would recommend that someone attends with him should he be invited to a WFI or other meeting to ensure that no problems occur.
