There are details of the assessment towards the back of the PIP Claim guide

Good luck

Hopefully they have paid attention to this and you will see another assessor.

hi, i too am new to this, i have a home visit next week but am so scared, i applied for dla 2 years ago as i have fybro cfs and low immune problems, i work with coping stratigies which dont work all the time and end up feeling really bad, pain, fatigue and fevers as well as all the other symptoms. the pain is every day,and fatigue will just take over me, i have had 3 falls but am more coutious now and regonise the sign my leg just gives way and end up on floor.
dla turned me down as i was in the end going to take them to court but couldnt afford the fees,so i than got told to apply for pip,
i am really stressing as people say i dont look ill or i dont look like theres anything wrong, if only they knew how i cope.
im not very good at getting things across to people and cant explain myself properly, i have aids at home and use a walking stick, if i had a wheel chair i would use it on occassions, but there may be occassions i wouldnt even be able to use that,as i become house bound. but how can i explain this when they start asking me questions.
any advise would be appriciated.
thankyou.

Have a look over your PIP2 form and it might be worth your going through the claim guides. The assessor will be asking questions of you in relation to the form, depending on much you have written on the form and attached pages you might want to make some bullet points on a separate piece of paper in regard to the things that you want to get across at the interview.

The guide has a section towards the end that covers what the assessor will be looking during the interview and the questions they are likely to ask.
