Hi M,

There were two News Articles late last year which may explain the reasons why you have not had a DLA Medical :

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/2461-atos...sion-makers-guessing

&

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/2472-dwp-...ling-their-illnesses

Although I am aware of people who have had a DLA Medical since that time.

You could contact your G.P. Practice to see whether The DWP sent them a G.P. Factual Report (GPFR) to fill in, regarding your DLA claim :

www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/medical-reports-completion.pdf

You could use the fact that you have mental health issues and have not had a Medical as part of your argument in an appeal, if you are to make one.

There are two guides on making an MR/Appeal, on this page

DLA Guides

Entitled : "DLA Appeals

The Best Possible Support For Clients With DLA and AA Appeals
This guide can be used by claimants and support wrkers alike to challenge decisions made before 28 October 2013

The Best Possible Support For Clients With DLA and AA Mandatory Reconsiderations and Appeals

This guide can be used by claimants and support workers alike to challenge decisions made on or after 28 October 2013"

Whilst on this page, you could also review the relevant "DLA Claims Guide"

Hi M,

Just to add, even though you have not physically had a medical, there should still be a "Medical Report" which you can request using a SAR to The DWP :

See :

DLA Medical – What forms to ask for?

From our :

DLA FAQ’s

SAR Form Download

From this page :

DWP Data Protection Policy

You should address The SAR to The DLA Office Address on your DLA Decision Notice Letter.

FAO : The DWP Data Controller.

Write DPA 1998 SAR on the front top left corner of the envelope :

Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS
