Hi, The dreaded envelope dropped on the mat today, with shaking hands I saw it said the end of your DLA - heart sank - read on said I qualified for the enhanced rate of mobility scored 12 points, enhanced rate of daily living, only had middle rate on DLA and best of all would be backdated, I assume to May when I filled out the original forms, but may be wrong. Also doesn't run out until October 2020, will be 66 by then.
Just want to say to everyone else, follow the Benefits and Work website their advice is invaluable, I don't think I would have got anything if I had filled in the forms without their help.
And to the site itself, a huge thank you to one and all, I will certainly be keeping my membership going, hubby just got his invite, his runs out April 2015!

Many congratulations on the award and thank you for your kind words about B&W.

I am afraid I have to take away some of your elation, as I understand it from your previous posts you are currently receiving DLA, because of this the new PIP award, although higher, will not be backdated, instead your DLA will remain in payment for four weeks from the date of the Decision Letter and then you will be moved over to PIP.
