PIP assessment

PIP assessment was created by sarah
My husband received a home visit from Capita with regard to his PIP claim, this was completed 2 weeks again. I received a call this week arranging another home visit, when I queried why as one was already completed they replied that the assessor needs to ask further information but that it won't be as long as the first assessment, anxious and worried about another visit with a stranger.

Is this normal? Has anyone else had 2 assessments?

Hi Sarah,

I have to say that I have not heard of this before. However, as I am sure you know, PIP is so new that we do not have much experience to call on.

Ok-thanks, I'll keep you posted with any further developments. We are hoping it will be the same lady so my husband feels a little more at ease.

Hi Sarah

This is unusual. I know of cases whereby there has been a long delay in-between the assessment and report being submitted that have required another visit to obtain up to date information.

It may be worth you phoning up to see if this additional information can be obtained over the phone.

Good luck
