Capita have bombarded me with short notice appointments, despite my CPN writing to them weeks ago, stating that she will be with me at the appointment, due to my severe mental health condition and she can only attend my home address on the afternoon.

Capital use text method of contacting me and writing direct, they have now said they can't accommodate an appointment around me, so if I can't accept the latest morning appointment then my benefits may be affected, they have been told that my mental health is so bad I need my carers and my CPN with me as I am unable to cope, I have attempts suicide on 3 occasion's, not because of this, but due to my severe mood swings , this is sheer hell, its like they are playing with my life. What should I do? I think they want to isolate me.

To deal with the short notice appointments first, claimants are legally entitled to 7 days written notification of an assessment appointment, although this does take into account he time the letter is in the post. You should not feel under any pressure to accept an appointment suggest via a text message.

I would speak to your GP about their writing a letter confirming your need for a home assessment and the need for your CPN to be present.

Finally, I would make a formal complaint to Capita about their actions.

Thank you Gordon, they are doing a home assessment but they are trying all ways to keep my CPN out, I will go and see my GP, I know he will write a strong letter.
