Can someone please tell me when contribution based ESA runs out after one year would a person be entitled to income based ESA if their partner is working and getting £200 a week net pay?

Eligibility for EA(IR) is dependant on your household income, your savings and assets, and any hours that your partner works. See

Asset rule for ESA(IR)

24 hour work rule for ESA(IR)

You can put your details into one of the benefit calculators to see whether any money would actually be payable, yours wife's income will be deducted £ for £ from the calculated amount of ESA(IR), if there is any remaining then you will be paid ESA(IR).

I have to warn you that I think it unlikely that there will be but it is still worth checking. See

www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators
