hi, it has been nearly a year since I sent my forms back to atos for my reassessment, I have heard nothing, the forms had to be back by December 13th, which they were, I am still being paid, does anyone have any idea when I am likely to hear from them? I am in the esa support group contribution based, thanks in advance

Hi ff,

Sorry, but I cannot give a definitive answer ! :(

Many of our members are still waiting 12 months or more after returning an ESA50.

There are still huge backlogs, as seen in our : News Article.

You will continue to receive SG ESA until a fresh decision is made.

Your only option would be to contact ATOS for an update if you wish to raise your head above the parapet :

Phone : 0113 230 9175. / 0800 2888 777.

don`t really want to contact them as previously stated I am still getting paid, is there any possibility I have been included in the group that will not be reassessed for two years? I have heard a little about this, but do not know much detail

Hi ff,

From information gained, the 2 year deferrals only started for claimants that were due for reassessments after 20/01/14.

See : www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/forum?view=top...02342&start=6#126501

As it seems that your ESA50 was sent back for reassessment prior to this date, your reassessment process had already begun.

That is not to say that it is not sitting in a very large pile somewhere.

There is a slight possibility that you may have been reassessed on paper evidence alone, without being informed by The DWP of a fresh decision to keep you in The SG.

This has happened to a couple of our members is the past.

You would have to contact The DWP to query this possibility :

ESA PHONE NUMBER DWP : 0345 608 8545 Press Option 3 for ESA.

It would be worth checking with ATOS and then the DWP as to what is going on with your re-assessment, it is possible that a Decision has been made without you being notified.

Contact ATOS

Phone: 0800 2888 777 or 0113 230 9175

Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The DWP number should be on any letters that you have received from them about your ESA.
