state pension was created by bal42
people who reach retirement age after 6 april 2015 will recieve about £113

but according to news papers anybody who reaches retirement age after 6 april 2016
will recieve about £145

so if one defers his retirement for one year till after 6 april 2016 , what amount would
he be entitled to. £113 or £145

any info please -- and thanks in advance

I'm sorry but we do not advise on State Pensions on the forum, the Gov UK site has more details

www.gov.uk/state-pension/overview

However, from what I can see, deferring your pension will have no effect on the amount you receive since payment it is based on your date of birth, not when the pension goes into payment.

My understanding is the same as Gordon's -it is the date of birth that is relevant, not the date of retirement.

As I explained in my previous post, we do not advise on pensions on the forum, I am afraid you will need to get advice elsewhere on this matter, try an internet search with terms such as "pension" and "spouse".
