Decided to phone again today just to see what i would be told by a different call handler.
This time told the request to reinstate ESA had been placed on system on Mon by the dispute resolution team (DRT)
Was told i needed to allow 6 working days for this to happen and if not heard anything by tues to phone again on Wed and request a call back.
So i am going to wait it out until Wed.

I havnt contacted MP,not sure ive got the confidence to do that.
Do i need to contact my housing benefit to make sure it isnt affected by JSA been closed?

Hi tb,

Yes, it may be best to keep The LA that administers your HB in the loop, although HB payments can be made with a nil income.

If you feel that you may fall into rent arrears temporarily due to the issues that you are having, you should also keep your landlord in the loop.

Hi traybel

I've been with B&W for a year but these are my first attempts at the forum. Please excuse me if I'm not pressing buttons correctly here at home.

I wondered, as your post mentioned your historical condition, there will be records with your doctor/consultant: don't be afraid to ask for their help too in this. In our case, our consultant wrote a four-page document when we asked him - I'm sure that is what helped my wife to go straight into the support group.

It always helps if you can use DWP's own terminology too. If you do get letters from your medics, submit them with the phrase that these are the BEST AVAILABLE MEDICAL EVIDENCE.

Hope you get through this, best wishes.
