Just had a thought about the whole re-assessment process.

Do you think DWP would expect all the documentation I supplied for the 1st assessment or just the evidence I have since that assessment.

I would think there would now be a file with my name on with this evidence in it - or am I being naive here?

Would I need to send the old stuff back to them?

You are being assessed as you are now so wherever possible you need to provide up to date information, you can supply older information but you need to show that it is still relevant to your conditions as they are now. For example; if you have reports in regard to your ability to mobilise from your previous assessment and your conditions are ones that will not improve then they should be classed as still relevant.

For completeness, whilst the assessor and Decision Maker occasionally have access to a claimants previous records, this is rare and you cannot rely on it happening.

So it looks like I should be sending all the documents I provided the first time round, everything is still very relevant, Ive deteriorated with the same condition.

Silly me thinking they would have access to all the previous stuff.

Apparently the assessors have access to all the old stuff on a DWP site that they use, so no need to send older stuff.

I just want to re-emphasise my previous comment, you cannot rely on either assessor or the Decision Maker to access any of your previous records, even if they did, that information would not be detailed in your ESA50 and therefore any context would likely be lost.
