Extra evidence for M/R of PIP ? was created by little effie
Good evening again

After 3 phone calls from DWP regarding MR of Pip to ",discuss your concerns" they accepted my request and stated they were sending a copy of HP report out .I wanted to make sure they got the request in writing before the month date so sent a letter with a little extra evidence by special delivery this morning.I then got a call from gp to arrange urgent tests and treatment for cardiovascular problem (stress of all this prob aggravating : ( it) and was wondering if I can send in further information next week as DWP advisor said it all had to be in before the one month deadline as they should be back in touch by end next week ? I maybe wrong but I was sure you advised info could be sent in at anytime up to desicion is made.

Sorry to keep asking for help as you appear to be busier than ever but go told me not to phone them and to avoid stress.
Thanks for what you do.

Hi s,

The DWP do state that the MR process should take no longer than a month, and that you should submit any fresh evidence within that period.

In reality the MR can take considerably longer to deal with, and I would send any fresh evidence to The DWP as long as you have not yet received your MR Notice regarding how they have dealt with the adverse decision.

Once you have received your MR Notice, you would have to appeal directly to The Tribunal Service and you could send any evidence that you have then to The TS.

Hi bro

I just received copy of Pip consultation report and am now completely confused. The page concerning moving around has descriptor D ticked 20 to 50 metres but in the typed area it states "Therefore descriptor D is justified as she cannot reliably walk more than 20 metres and nowhere in observations or occupational/social history has she been seen to walk more than 3 metres". Surely that should be descriptor E ?.I phoned DWP again and they just said OK we will make a note on file so I can't understand whether to copy and send them the page they have just sent to me as evidence or just leave it.Please advise as what would be the best way to make sure desicion maker notes thisthanks S.

There is clearly a discrepancy between the Descriptor ticked and the justification for it being chosen.

I would include the information in a letter to the Decision Maker.

Whilst this information is important you should still emphasise from your form and the evidence attached why you cannot walk more than 20m.

The Decision Maker is not medically trained and may simply have used the tick box when making the Decision.
