SK

Claimants can work and still receive DLA so in principle there is no problem with you considering work, however, you need to be able to show that any work that you may do does not contradict any of your stated care or mobility needs, if it does then your working will likely be considered as a Change of Circumstances which would likely result in an early re-assessment of your claim and if you live in a PIP postcode, an early transfer to PIP.

If you can show that there would be no conflict then there should be no issue with your pursuing suitable employment.

Lots of people work- both full and part time and claim DLA/PIP. I know medical professionals who are disabled and claim DLA/PIP and work full time. I work 21 hours a week and claim PIP and previously to that claimed DLA.

As Gordon says as long as it doesn't contradict something you said you couldn't do (in which case if you are now able to do it and your award is based on something you said you couldn't so you should notify the DWP anyway as it would be a change in circumstances) you are free to take up as much employment as you can do :)
