I am housebound and have made an appeal for my PIP. I put in for a domicilary hearing, I had a phone call yesterday from the tribunal saying that domicillary hearings have been placed on hold for sometime due to health and saftey which I can understand. The gentleman was lovely on the phone and said they have looked at my case and totally understand and they are happy to do a hearing over Skype. I wondered is this common?

I have a vague memory of this happening before, but it is extremely rare although it is good to see the Tribunal Service being able to use this facility, as it offers an additional option for the many claimants who would struggle to attend at there offices.
I am assuming that you have the facilities for you to do this?

I didn't when they called me on Friday but my son has set me up a Skype account and given me some lessons over the weekend. The tribunal are calling me back tomorrow for my Skype address and assume then that they will arrange a date for the hearing. I will keep you all posted.
