Hi I am being made redundant in June and not sure what to do.

I am an amputee and soon to become double amputee and my arms are also affected.

If I claimed ESA, I would like support and help to find work - what would my doctor have to put on the fit note? I don't think he would sign me off but he would agree I had limited capability.

Would this be suitable?

Many thanks

Your GP needs to issue a Fit Note, it should not matter if they place restrictions on it in regard to your claiming ESA.

Have a look at our Understanding ESA guide and our ESA Claim guides for more information about ESA and the assessment criteria.
