Hi,

Welcome to Benefits and Work :)

If your forum name is also your real name, you may wish to change it to maintain some anonymity.

This can be done quite easily by following the instructions on this FAQ :

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

Congratulations on The Enhanced Rate PIP Awards for "both" !! :cheer:

Ongoing awards are quite rare, and only given where the claimants limitations/disabilities are not expected to increase or diminish in the longer term.

Yes, if you are in receipt of ESA in The WRAG, and are also entitled to The Severe Disability Premium.(SDP) as you are getting a PIP Daiy Living Award and have an entitlement to payment of Income Related (IR) ESA, your ESA payments would increase to include payments of IR ESA Premiums.

Your PIP payments will be paid totally separate to your ESA payments by a different DWP dept.

You should receive any PIP arrears owed separately to your normal 4 weekly payments once they have been put in place.

You should ring The PIP Helpline for any queries regarding PIP.

You don't say whether you are single, live alone etc, but the minimum ESA payments that you should receive as from 06/04/15 are :

ESA Personal Allowance for single over 25 year old = £73.10/Week

WRA Component addition (for being in The WRAG) = £29.05/Week

The SDP would then be paid on top of the above ESA payments and is variable dependent on your personal circumstances, but you can see the various rates at the bottom of : This FAQ.

ESA is paid fortnightly in arrears and PIP is paid 4 weekly in arrears you can see which days you should be paid on : Here.

Being entitled to payment of IR ESA Premiums, or any amount of IR ESA, even a penny, also "passports" you to other "benefits".

See : This post.

You could also try these online :

Benefits Calculator

Benefits Calculator

To gain a better idea of your full entitlement.

You should receive a letter from ESA with a breakdown of all payments that you are entitled to and receive payment of.

If you don't receive one, you could request it over the phone :

THE ESA PHONE NUMBER DWP : 0345 608 8545 Press Option 3 for ESA. (Open 8AM-6PM. Mon-Fri.)
