Hi Kim

You don't have to send in any information for a Mandatory Reconsideration, in fact if you were able to prepare your original application correctly you may have no additional evidence to send, but if you do then it will in general fall into three categories.

- Any new evidence that you have about your conditions

- Information about changes to your conditions that was not recorded on the claim form but you were suffering from at the time of the assessment.

- Further explanation of the problems you explained on the claim form in the light of having received the assessment report.

You should be given four weeks to prepare and send the information to the Decision Maker, however, you must make it clear on your initial MR request that you will be sending further information or they may complete the MR before you have a chance to send your information in.

:) thank you I did tell them on the phone and in the letter I sent I would be sending additional information once I receive the capita medical report because as I have said before from what was written on the decision letter I strongly believe and know that she [capita] has not told the truth about the home visit :( and I have had an appointment from the mental health team for this week and im hoping they will give me a letter confirming my mental health issues wich I didn't have when I filled in the form I did put all the information down about depression and anxiety and how it affects me but they chose to ignore it [they cant argue with that]another question :( have I got 30 days from the decision date 9/5/15 or the date I requested the mr wich was on the 13/5/15 the same day I received the decision thank you

It should be 28 days from the date you notified the DWP of the MR request. You need to be aware that any waiting time if procedural rather than defined in law, so sooner is better than later.
