:) Hi everyone

I just wNt to say a big THANYOU to this site for the information members can get to help them complete esa50 form. I have just been awarded esa support group and thought I might have a fight on my hands but havent thanks to the detailed guidance information you provide. Some people might say why should we join! Well money might be tight but this has saved me lots of upset and worry and has been well worth subscribing.

The time given to my application was applied 1 april 2015 by phone, completed esa50 which took afew attempts to read guidelines and relate it my situation and today 11 june outcome recieved with no medical. What a result!

One question though:

I have been receiving contributions based esa 73.10 from 8th april taking into account I cant bepaid for the first 7 days (apparently you must not exist for that week!) But support group payment does not start until 11 july? I am abit confused I thought the extra was to be paid after 12 weeks assesment rate which would make that 8th july and not 1 july or am I missing something?

Hi m,

Congratulations on The SG Award without having a "medical" !!! :cheer:

You can find information regarding how to find out the recommended period of your SG Award before reassessment, and other documentation in : This Post.

The extra SG Component addition should be paid after 13 weeks, i.e.from the beginning of week 14 of your claim.

ESA payments are paid fortnightly in arrears :

Benefit payment dates

Benefit Rates 2015/16

Thanks for your kind words regarding B&W, they are much appreciated ! :)

Thanks for the quick response.

One other thing. On this site reassesments or reviews are mentioned and my award does not state a length of time the award is made for. What should I understand by this? Am I going to be reviewed and if so when?

Hi Maria,

Bro addressed this question in the post above and has provided a link to a thread where it is discussed more fully :)
