PIP renewal in advance!!??

Hi everyone I am new to the forum.

I have ME/CFS, fybromialgia, crohns, and heart disease.

After 2 (in 2 years) of applying for DLA which went to appeal and still rejected I was finally awarded PIP last year after a long delay. I got nothing for personal care and only the standard rate of mobility - I challenged this but to no avail. Anyway the award was from April 2014 to April 2016. At the beginning of May 2015 I got a ~"looking at your PIP claim again" form to complete. I rang DWP as I did not understand why I had got this form to complete when my award goes to April 2016.
There seemed to be some confusion - had I sent anything in for Change of Circs - no. next operator said it was being looked at now as the process is taking so long to complete.

I duly completed the form and sent it with a letter from my GP. That was just within the 4 weeks time limit. I had an ATOS medical on 11th June so that made 6 weeks. The ATOS person also thought I was going through the process because I had send in a change of circs.!!

So DWP said it was looking at my claim 12 months in advance due to the delay in the process so why has it only taken 6 weeks from completing my form to having my medical.

I am awaiting the result.

Yes, I am afraid that this seems to be a general practice Please keep us up to date when you hear anything.

Well after them saying about its due to the backlog that they are looking at my claim in advance of next April 2016 I got a letter at end of last week from DWP saying my atos medical report had been completed and with DWP and they now have all the info they need to look at my claim again. They will get back to me in due course.


Ludicrous!!!! there are so many people that are still waiting for their first award to be sorted why look at mine again 12 months in advance - I do not trust them one bit.

I even wonder if they are looking at it again because someones been mean and said I don't deserve PIP. Its taken me long enought to get anything!!!

I had already applied twice under DLA and gone to appeal twice and all they said was that I lied throughout.
