This may be happening in a few pilot areas, I am not sure !

However, the key word in your query is "new claimants for ESA" , even if this was occurring, it would only be for "new" ESA claimants that were entitled to IR ESA only, not CB ESA !

It doesn't mean that just because an area is "UC Live" that "all" new claimants will have to claim UC, nor does it follow that just because someone works in an HB dept : that what they are telling you is accurate !

This topic is pertaining to "current" ESA recipients !
