The waiting is absolute torture when you live on your own too because I keep thinking the worse news in my head then the thought of appeal is too much to think about, but I'm trying not to overthink it all. Just wish these decision makers themselves have to go through this waiting game, I can imagine they would fall to pieces like I am at the moment.

Hi all feeling a bit happy but confused had my pip letter through today I've been awarded high care and low mobility until 2020 but I know they reassess me a year early thank you B&W for your brilliant guides

Here is the confusing bit I knew my esa was due to be reassessed as it runs out on 7th July 2016 so in a few weeks I was panicking a bit today as I had not received the esa 50, so today I rang Maximus and the told me they had not received any info from the job centre, I then rang the job centre and asked and the bloke said that it looked as though they have kept me in the support group until 2018 what I was thinking has anyone just done a pip claim and the esa and was due to be reassessed at the same time but they have not send the esa50 and made a decision? I am worrying about it sorry if this post makes no sense I'm just stressed.

First of all congratulations on the PIP award.

If they are saying 2018 for the ESA renewal then there is no reason to doubt this, it is possible that they have extended it based on your PIP award, although this would be unusual, when was your last ESA reassessment?

ESA is an indefinite award with regular reassessment, so I'm afraid you will not receive any letter confirming this, you'll only know when you are being reassessed when you receive a new ESA50. Reassessments are normally generated by the computer system flagging a claimants name based on the date held in their computer record, so if yours is set to 2018 then that is when I would expect it to be flagged.

Another thing I forgot to mention was I usually get paid on a Monday which would of been this week but I was paid early last Thursday I rang the DWP to ask if there was an error and the woman said they were doing something to my account and that they paid me early otherwise I would of received a payment on the Tuesday so not sure what was going on there, were they perhaps getting my file together to send to Maximus?
