A big congratulations on the appeal win.

I'm afraid you need to attend the ESA assessment, the two benefits are separate.

Just a thought if you take along your docs letter and new award maybe they will put you in the support group? I would have thought the enhanced mobility would do that?

PIP only looks at the claimants ability to walk, ESA also considers their ability to self propel a manual wheelchair, also the Tribunal Decision relates to their conditions as they were five or months ago, whereas the ESA assessment will be of their limitations as they are now.

It may be something to make the DWP Decision Maker aware of but I doubt the assessor will have any interest.

went to medical
your right they wasn't interested in my pip result or my hospital reports
I was in and out in hour and half
some strange questions like
can you open a packet of crisps ,
do you carry any shopping , no I don't do the shopping because of the walking and pain in my lower back and hip and shortness of breath , would you be able to carry a bottle of milk ? make a cup of tea ? prob could ? , do you always use a stick ? not every minute no it's rare I go anywhere to need it I try not to depend on it too much as I know i'd soon become dependant on it but I always need to use it if the pain is unbearable or i'm going to walk any distance , did you buy the stick yourself
some questions have no bearing on your health or are these set so the answer can be twisted around ?
you don't only have to cope with your illnesses you need a degree to be able to answer the questions .

this site is brilliant but I would strongly advise everyone to get help from an organisation that help's with disability

another thing I called the D W P to let them know about change in circumstance and they told me they now have five weeks to make a decision ? I was a bit shocked at this .
six month's from my first refusal and now I have to wait another five week's . I said so it could still be disallowed he said we will look into it and get write to you ?
all the stress It's made me really ill

Thanks for the update.

I'm afraid it may be even longer, currently we are quoting a minimum of 8 weeks for a PIP Decision.
