A person does not count as an aid in any accepted sense of the word.

The issue of reliability is defined here -

• Safely – in a fashion that is unlikely to cause harm to themselves or to another person.
• To a necessary and appropriate standard – given the nature of the activity.
• Repeatedly – as often as is reasonably required.
• In a timely manner – in a reasonable time period.

We have not seen an adverse PIP decision affect ESA .

Thanks for your reply......I am still reeling from the blatant lie of my attending a consultation room and walking with the aid of a person neither of which I did ...the case manager said a person is a aid ...I was sure this was not the case...I got 10 points but I feel I should have 12 ..I have not been able to walk very far or go anywhere alone for 26 years ...not doctors letter says this clearly ...I honestly don't think they read the information you send in the pip 2 from ...the case manager clearly had not and just did not answer any of my questions and was stuck for words when she found out I had a home assessment....if the atos lady as indeed written this I will be reporting her to the relevant body ..I have two witnesses who can attest to the fact I did not move from my chair ..and will write sworn statements to this affect

A person is not an aid but you can be aided by someone, this is particularly the case for the Moving Around activity which specifically makes reference to this.

Hi
I am just wondering how to go about wording my MR for the mobility component ....I was awarded 10 points got standard .from enhanced...however the descion maker based that award on me walking to a consultation room which I did not do ...I had a home visit and never moved...
And will I be PAYED my new award whilst waiting for a MR ??

You must first clearly show that you meet the criteria for reliably moving 20m or less on the majority of days, once you have done this you can cover the errors in the assessment report.
