Success! Awarded high rate for both components, many thanks to all here for advice! (Previously got high care low mobility).

However......my payment day has been brought forward by one day making it a Tuesday not Wednesday. My last DLA payment would be due in tomorrow but has been paid in today and is more than £100 less than it always has been. Spent several hours holding on the phone for DWP to answer and when I got through eventually I was told the payment is correct. What has happened to a weeks money because they bring my payment forward by one day?

Although we cannot confirm it, we believe that some DLA claimants were paid one week in advance and three weeks in arrears, rather than the normal four weeks in arrears, if this is the case for your DLA then a three week payment would be correct.

Unfortunately, the only way to confirm this is for you to contact the DWP, I would suggest in writing.

Obviously if your claim was paid four weekly in arrears then the payment would appear to be incorrect.

I'm going to ask the office if they can investigate this situation as we have seen a number of members report a similar problem, but it's unlikely that we will hear anything in the near term.

Well done Sheena a great result, how long is the award before they want to reassess.

No dates mentioned - there was a blank space in that box on my award letter and a tick for based on the available evidence, I consider there to be no requirement to arrange a review of this claim as significant change is unlikely then the justification for review period choice box states " Long term multiple conditions that are unlikely to alter over time". Not sure what that translates to in the real world.......

It sounds like it is an on-going award.
