Hi

I am a bit worrried and would like some help.

I know you like to keep threads on similar subjects together so I bumped up this one.

I am on a pension, a civil service pension.
Every april the DWP give me a form to let them know the new pension amount, and they also want a copy of the letter from my employer with my newer higher pension amount.

This year they havent send me anything, and i cant phone them cos i cant use the phone, embarrassed to elaborate on why at moment.

This year they have not asked for anything.

My pension amount has not changed this year, normally it goes up, but dunno if civil service pension and civil service employees are in a wage freeze or not.

Anyway, does the fact that they have not sent me my pension enquiry letter mean I am going to be reassessed for ESA very soon, or does it have nothing to do with it?
Thanks

Hi Chrissy,

Don't worry, you don't need to explain why you prefer not to make phone calls, that is your business alone.

I don't think the fact that you did not get the usual form asking about your pension is indicative of anything! In fact, I did get one, even though I was partway through reassessment.

In your position I would send a copy of the uprating letter to the address on the most recent ESA letter I received, just to be on the safe side.

My pension hasn't increased but i am afraid to send them a copy of the latest letter in case this 'rocks the boat' ie, I am scared to do this in case it makes them send me an ESA50 as my reassessment for WCA was due last year.
Do you think that sending them a copy of my latest pension letter will kick off a reassessment of my WCA/ESA?
Sorry to keep asking questions, I am just really worried and have a lot of stress on at the moment and another ESA50 form right now would really make things worse for me as I am in a very fragile mental state with anxiety.
thank you in advance

There's no reason why your sending them a copy of your latest pension statement will result in your claim being reassessed, except by coincidence.
