Hi everyone
I claimed esa and last week I was assessed over the phone. I been told because I am not using wheel chair i cannot have anything although i cannot walk more than 20 meters and I scored 15 points in the letter score was 0 and everything was refred to my previous medical assessment. I explained about change ln my conditions but they didn't like to pay any intention towards that.
Surprisingly yesterday I received a letter from capita and they offed me home visit but the problem is i moved from previous home to my sister,s . In previous house i had room and living assistance .
I informed them about change in circumstances.
Any advice about how to deal with home visit will be very grateful.
What about easa manadority reconsideration?
Shall I send them all the paperwork doctor,s fact sheet because this time they didn't send me any forms etc.
Thanks

Forgive me but I am struggling to separate your ESA issues from your PIP ones.

You appear to have been found Fit for Work in regard to ESA. It should not be possible for a FfW Decision to be made without you having a face to face assessment, I can't really offer any advice about an MR without a better understanding of what has happened.

You mention a Change of Circumstances, were you previously receiving ESA?

Is the home assessment at your new address or the old one? There's a section at the back of the PIP Claim guide that covers the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.

Hi Gordon
Thnx for ur reply. I explain esa first then I will discuss pip. I applied for esa in April and got a phone call from dwp rather than face to face assessment everything was done over the phone and totally unfair result. I had a medical assessment in October last year I think they took all the lead from that assessment but I explained them about my medical and mental problems but they didn't bother. Change in circumstances as in the previous post you have given me advice to inform all the offices. I have done so there is no issue about the adress.i been told to apply for jsa which I have done. The person in j c after looking the medical conditions also said they should not do that and he said he is going to speak with them also.
My pip assessment is going to be in the adress where i am living now. I was surprised only because usually capita don't like home visit but they gave me a good start up. I was thinking what they do consider at home visit. I got living assistance here as well because my aunt is also using the same. Will
It be OK with them or not?
Thanks

It sounds as if you were found Fit for Work on your previous claim in October last year, if this is correct then you can only make a new claim for ESA if you can show and it is accepted that you have a new condition of your existing ones have deteriorated such that you would likely meet the criteria for an award.

The Decision on whether you do or not lies with a DWP Decision Maker, I suspect that the phone call you received was to see whether this was the case or not, I am guessing that they have decided that still do not merit an award.

As to your PIP assessment, Capita are actually OK with allocating home assessments it's ATOS that members usually have to fight with to get one.

Providing there is a private space where you, the assessor and any companion that you might ask to attend with you is available, it should not be a problem.
