PIP appeal won thank you was created by scottysnan
Just like to say a massive thank you got letter today. I was originally awarded standard rate for both care and mobility component. I appealed this decision and won now awarded enhanced rate for both.
I do not think I would have appealed if it was not for all the posts and advice on here. Really glad I subscribed to access members only guides, well worth it.
Now I feel able to deal with ESA, still waiting for home visit for medical and no response from MP.
Thanks again :P :woohoo:

Great news scottysnan! Thanks for letting us know and for your kind words about B+W :)

I hope that your ESA claim is equally successful.

It was a paper appeal.
It took me four days to write it out with the help of my daughter. I broke down the categories care/ mobility and listed each points step (1 preparing food, 3 managing therapy etc.) you say this yet as stated on my form I say this, what the health care professional says.
Most of what I disagreed was how it was worded, like pip say I need prompting, yet the form or hca say I physically need someone to physically help me.
Some quotes from the tribunal. Claimant has severely limited ability to carry out activities of daily living and carry out mobility activities.
Summing up In reaching its decision the tribunal placed particular reliance upon the evidence of claimant her GP and the healthcare professional.
It is clear from the evidence of her GP and observations of the HCP her illnesses is severely limiting
Hope this helps

Spoke to esa today to inform them of my new pip award and was told it bears no relevance on my claim to esa. Pointed out was just doing what I was told and any change in circumstances must be reported to them.
I did ask about the six point plan for vulnerable people and was told I do not come under that as I do not live on my own.
Gobsmacked is an understatement, I asked how that makes a difference to someone who is depressed and had taken overdoses before and spent time in mental health unit because of this.
also my diabetes and heart problems. she told me she doesn't make the rules, but did become more concerned and passed me onto a manager, who was very nice but could not help as it is a maximus problem, but has passed me on to a specialist manager who will call me tomorrow.
Wrote to MP again as had no response from him yet, been three weeks and nothing.
