Medical for PIP

The PIP is only going to be of significant benefit if it was awarded for one of the areas where there is considerable overlap.

Hi Mary,

I've read your PIP journey with interest, and couldn't help smiling when I read earlier that you had been awarded enhanced rates for both components. I'm still waiting for my decision - I had my f2f on July 21st (my current award runs until 10th August). The nurse who conducted my f2f suggested I ring DWP this week to see what's happening. I rang this morning, only to be told that my claim is now with the Decision Maker, and I should hear something within 4 to 5 weeks! Fingers crossed I hear soon, and that it will be positive news.

I really hope that you are recovering from your operation well. Enjoy your 'victory' and try not to worry about the upcoming ESA thing (although I know only too well that's easier said than done).

Hi Amanda thank you so much for your message i am still stunned lol i keep reading the award letter over and over! I am very tired and sore from my operation its been a difficult and tiring journey for me. I really really hope you get a positive result and i will be keeping everything crossed for you

Hi everyone i hope everyone is well and had a great weekend .....i got a letter yesterday (Sat) and it was about The Severe Disability Premium? i had to complete a small form and i stated i lived alone and no one was claiming carers allowance for me. Is this an extra benefit i may get? and if so will it be backdated like my PIP award?
