PIP award was created by Glyn Cook
After 9 years on ESA, I was turned down following medical and review- I was fit for work. Applied for PIP April 28th and today received an award for PIP until 2022, enhanced for daily living and standard mobility. Thank you for your guides, invaluable for making sure I had added everything and ensuring it was all covered in the medical. Still doesn't make sense to me that I can get PIP but not ESA. I asked for a mandatory reconsideration for this in April but still no response, they have so far sent my papers to 3 different benefit offices.. Many thanks again

Congratulations on the PIP award

Although the criteria for PIP and ESA can seem similar they are in reality quite different, it's perfectly possible for someone to receive a full PIP award and work full time.
