brenda ,
awww thankyou so much thats realy kind of you ,well i rang town hall and was given the number for the same woman who is off work whos suppose to be contacting me when shes back in ,seems rather ridiculous that she seems to be the only one who deals with appeals in my area ,,no wonder the poor womans off sick can you imagine the ammount of people needing her with the way the system works , anyway rang my surgery to ask if my gp can do me a detailed letter that would coincide to the activities why ime unable to or struggle to do these ,,was told they would get doc to ring me ,still waiting for the call,.!! also asked about seeing my medical records and i have to ring tommorow as the person who deals with that is only in on thursdays , hopefully ile be able to go through it and get copies of anything that may help my appeal as ime worrying there isnt enough medical evidence to show them ,,cant believe how difficult and stressfull it is trying to get dr and MH teams etc to actualy help you. as all ime doing is banging my head against a brick wall it seems !!.,. and because of my agrophobia i hardly ever visit the G.P avoid it like the plaque ..ime realy worrying as apart from a letter of refferal to mental health team and a appoint for assesment for psycotherapist ,,that all i have at present , my new G.P is a very unapproachable person and i dont see the point in me paying 25 pound for a few lines of a formal letter that isnt gonna help ,i blatently refuse to line the GP pocket paying for sumtin they probably dont even write themselves and only just sign it ,if it was detailed ide gladly pay the fee ,but seems theres alot of people facing the same problems as ,myself ,,ime on pins now waiting for this bundle of papers to arrive ,it been since feb when i first made the call to apply for pip. ime beginiging to wish ide never botherd now the amount of stress and worry it causing me ,it only through finding this site it give me some hope as reading other peoples stories. and the help and advice from the moderators and kind people like yourself who give other people encouragment to go forward and see the process to the end .

Hello Alison .
The only evidence i had for Davids tribunal was the GP letter which confirmed he had been referred too the primary mental health out patients facility!,also a letter i put together myself responding too all the reasons he had been awarded 0 points and stating why i disagreed their reasons.Other than that we presented David at the tribunal which was evidence enough!..
We where asked about GP appointments and i told them it was all done by telephone consultation and i had too telephone and then answer the phone and then tell David who was wanting too speak too him as he was unable too do so for himself due his levels of anxiety.
David had been on DLA before and when it ran out in Jan we had too apply for the PIP...so it has been a long haul, and we have fallen into debt due too the income being almost nothing , i had too apply for JSA and explain too them i was caring,so its so stressful...but i wasn't going too go down without a fight because i knew we had nothing too fear as we where telling the truth ! and this is what you must keep telling yourself too ..
Always here for you Alison x x

brenda,
can imagine hpw difficult it must been with your son having dla to nothing ,it awfull how there being allowed to get away with this new pip in replacement from dla, my auntie going through same as you now , she was on high dla indefinately as she has brain damage after being knocked down by a brewery lorry who was drink driving many years ago,. shes basicaly like a child now mentaly. and cnt do much for herself had to teach her as if from a baby all over again to hold a fork etc she didnt even know who her children were and has no memory of her life before the accident ,,. its disgusting how these people from capita who are in some way or another part of our health system wether being nurses ,paramedics etc can blatently lie there way through doing there reports disregarding anything the claimant has told them or given as medical evidence ,dont know how they can sleep at night honestly i dont , guess there are a majority of them who do there job with compasion but as for the rest well hope they dont find themselves in a situation where there health is poor to find themselves being treated tthe same way,, sorry for the rant !! on a happier note ,the lady rang me this morning and is only back part time untill fully recoverd but she said as soon as i get the wad of paperwork from the dwp to give her a ring and she will arrange to come visit me to go through it with me ,so relieved about that now and least i know ile have support now so feeling a bit more possitive than have been feeling past few weeks ,

Alison ,
So very, very happy for you ! made me smile too know that you will now have all the support and and a person with the knowledge too help you along with this tribunal ! you will win ...i have no doubt of that !
You auntie ...how dreadful!! What a awful thing too happen,it just proves that none of us know what the day has in store from the moment we put our feet out of bed !
i tend now too live for the moment with David ,as last year i lost my mom in the March and my sister in the july ,they were all the family we had ,so now i intend to try and make our lifes as pleasurable as i can,i wont wait for birthdays or Christmas too have nice food ,we will have it now and enjoy the days as they come !
I believe that the capita assessors have something like just 6 weeks training ?
I may be wrong but i seem too remember being told this by our benefit officer.
They are doing their job of making it difficult for the disabled too claim, the DWP make their decision from the Capita assessors review,so the DWP are being misled!
YOU GO GIRL ! AND YOU GO GET WHAT YOUR ENTITLED TOO !!!
Always here for a chat

Alison,
Continue with your appeal, dont give in as it isnt about luck its about getting what your entitled too , I found out alot about myself this past year, and what i realized is if we change ourselfs then everything else changes with us!
You must remember that the tribunal judge is not there too make a judgement against you ,he is there too make a judgement against the DWP decision, and as soon as he sees how agitated and stressed you are he will judge that they were wrong with the award given too you !
It wasnt easy for me too go to the appeal with David as i was so stressed and having palpation's and even ringing in my ears at one stage, but i can honestly say i would never be afraid too attend another as the panel are very understanding and not there too judge us ! just too see why the DWP made the decision they did ,and also remember they haven't summoned us ,we have asked too be seen too put our case too them...
Once your appeal is over treat yourself and the family too a takeaway and toast your determination and bravery at being able too attend the hearing ,because it will a day you will be so proud of yourself and think why was i so scared ,what nice people !
always here for you
