Had pip home assessment this morning ..to say i was nervous was a understatement!.. though I would share my experience

Assessor arrived 45 mins early , was expecting an hour before or an hour later so wasnt that surprised. She sat right next to me. I had all my medication , ID and letters of supprft all out ready for for inspection .. was pretty surprised that she was more "concerned" about the way i looked ( rough due to lack of slee with pain and worry).

wasnt asked in much detail about getting about , of course she tried to put some sentances in thati never said and i corrected her there and then ( see if she changed it report arrives).
she asked me to do some silly moves ..to pinch her finges , sand and lift either leg up (couldnt do that if my life depended on it )

sheasked about my daily routines and level of care that i require.. tried to catch me out by asking the same question 4 times ! ... at the end she told me that she will file her report this week to the DWP and that her company may do audit ? and I should hear within 8 weeks and to look out for a brown envelope.

Needless to say im going to worry myself sick waiting .. my partner was present and said that she was a tricky lady and constantly trying to catch me out! .. Time will tell ..
will update accordingly
kind regards

Thanks for the update. Yes, it is currently taking DWP up to around 8 weeks to make the decision after the face2face has been carried out.

Hi...Having slept and gone thru yesterdays pip assessment over and over again, there is a few things that have left me concerned.
Assessor got her laptop out connected her mouse and her mobile phone to it .. every 15 minutes or so her phone began beeping , she would pick it up and start typing on her laptop .. have you any idea what this was about or heard any one else having this experience?
I did ask her was it going off because of te answes i had given , her reply was no .. but is she to be believed? .

Also she said ( her words) as my condition is so obviously having a major affect on my ability to move around .. i should requst a commode for my use downstairs ( i havent the room for a downstairs toilet)
She also said that is was very apparent that i have to have somebody with me if and when i go out as she can see that my condition leaves me unable to manage on my own .
Basically what im asking is.. If i do not receive a pip ward ( which i am expecting as she was overly nice and that makes me highly suspicious!) can i quote these saying when filling out my MR

kind regards

I certainly wouldn't worry about the mobile phone it sounds as if the assessor was just charging it and the chirping will most definitely having nothing to do with what you were saying, it's likely updates to their Facebook page. What I would say is that it was poor practice for them to have it on during the assessment.

Their other comments actually seem to be supportive, so try not worry about them, it's likely that your Decision will take some time and you will make yourself ill(er) if you do.

It could also be that she is using her phone as a mobile hotspot - receiving an internet connection through her phone
