Yesterday I was given a new date to attend a second assessment, on that day i have an appointment with my diabetic team at the hospital, this has taken 6 months to arrange and I can't possibly rearrange it and shouldn't have to, so I asked them to change it, they refused.

Also I made a complaint to Capita by e-mail, they acknowledged receipt, and asked me to phone them, they gave me a number, when I called, the person who answered didn't have clue what I was calling for, said they had not received my E-mail and that if I didn't attend the second assessment my money would be stopped. Also she raised her voice and was very rude, she also refused to pass me onto someone who could help.

I am now at my wits end over this. any advice would be helpful.

Whilst the DWP might accept your appointment as Good Cause for you not attending you really don't want to get into the that situation if you can avoid it.

You can try contacting the DWP, I would expect you to have to escalate the problem to a manager as the call centre staff won't be able to deal with it, this usually requires a call back.

I would also contact your MP.
