PIP and holiday was created by benion
I got my PIP form through the post today.
I will be posting it back on Monday if I get my GP letter.
My only worry is I am due to go on holiday 13th to 20th August to France.
I do not want them knowing about the holiday as if I can go on holiday they could argue there is nothing wrong with me (despite pages of medical evidence)
What do I do about this? Cancel the holiday or just hope they do not phone in this time frame?

Whilst it may actually longer, they are only required to give you seven days written notice of an assessment and that includes postage time, so you could have one, maybe even two booked in the time you are away. If it is one then you will have to attend a new appointment wherever and whenever it is, if you miss two then your file will be returned to the DWP as no show and whilst your being away should be treated as Good Cause, it may takes months to sort it out.

I'm afraid the best course of action is to notify both the DWP and the Assessment Provider for your postcode that you will be away to avoid problems in the first place.

I can hand the form back any time before the 21st. Perhaps it would be better to post it on the day I am leaving.

Gordon, how long after handing the form in do people get the medical in a Capita area?

You could write in the box where it says bout dates for an assessment you aren't available for the dates X to X, don't think you need to say why or where you are going. Just so they know not to invite you for a medical then?
